Full Service Equine Veterinary Dentistry

Meet the Team

Dr. Talia Lin, DVM

Dr. Talia Lin grew up riding in Charlottesville, Virginia, and graduated from Tufts University with bachelor’s degrees in biology and environmental studies. She worked at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, Virginia before attending Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where she focused on the equine track.

After graduation, she served her internship at Durango Equine Veterinary Clinic in Buckeye, Arizona. The practice focused on theriogenology (reproduction), ambulatory medicine and rescue work. She began focusing on her interest in dentistry while working with abused horses seized by the Maricopa County MASH unit.

Following her internship, Dr. Lin returned to the East Coast and spent over 13 years in general practice in central New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania where she honed her dentistry skills through multiple continuing education and practical opportunities. She then decided to open Cardinal Equine Veterinary Dentistry to focus on her advanced dentistry practice for the southeastern Pennsylvania region. Dr. Lin loves completing complicated tooth extractions and watching her patients gain weight, perform better, and live happy.

When she bothers to pull her head out of a horse’s mouth, Dr. Lin loves spending time with her husband, three children, and her elderly red-nosed pit bull (who thinks those children are lollipops). In addition Dr. Lin loves hiking, traveling and reading.

Carly Taylor

Carly is a Bucks County native who has been around horses her entire life.

Early in her career, Carly worked for Maurine Swanson of Rolling Stone Farm, where she gained a wealth of knowledge in all things sport horse breeding. In 2008, Carly began riding professionally for Frank Chapot while obtaining her associate’s degree in fine arts from Bucks County Community College.

After an unfortunate injury, Carly began working as a small animal veterinary assistant. In 2014 she moved to Colorado to work at one of the state’s top specialty and emergency practices. There, she fell in love with laboratory diagnostics and spent the next 8 years working in that field.

Carly always maintained her desire to make a career working with horses, so in 2022 she and her family moved back to the Bucks County area, where she has spent the last 2 years managing one of the top show barns in the country. Carly is excited to be working in the animal healthcare field again, and to gain new skills and knowledge of equine dentistry with Dr. Lin.

In her free time Carly enjoys spending time with her family outdoors, supporting music and arts, and her pets: 2 cats Ariel and Sofia, OTTB mare Flower, and 8 chickens..
